JOHN HOGENSON (1847-1939), son of Hogen and Martha (Johnson) Asperson of Norway, was born at Osterdahlen, Norway, came to Amherst, Filmore County Minnesota in 1867, married 1876; Karen Vestern, Norway, daughter of Erick & Bertha (Rustad) Vestern came to Griggs County April 26, 1880 and returned in September 1880 with family of 2 children, driving 26 sheep and 16 head of cattle. Children: Mrs. Ole (Helene) Anderson (1876-1924), Edward, Otto, Joseph, August, Lewis, Mrs. Lawrence (Ida) Stenbbo Mrs. Carl (Josephine) Bue, (1881-1948), Clara Julia (1881-1908)
