JOSEPH BUCHHEIT, son of Jacob and Mary (Buchheit) Buchheit (who were born in Bavaria, Germany, who went to Waterloo, Ontario Canada in 1831 - to St. Joseph County, Indiana, 1862) was born May 2, 1854 at Waterloo, Ontario Canada, died 1932 in Florida; came to Griggs County in 1880 with Cooper; homesteaded north of Binford; married 1887, Bella M. Minnick (1853, in Indiana-1936) of South Bend, Indiana; moved to Binford in 1903; was partner in Buchheit & Bakken Co. of Binford. He retired in 1919. No children.
