WILLIAM A. KINGSLEY (1832-1898), from New York State, married Harriet Kingsley (1835-1912); served in the Civil War; member of G. A. R., came to Griggs County in 1883 to the township that was named in his honor-146-b1. Children:
HELEN SOPHIA (1858-1938), born at Sherburn, New York, married Frank Sanford ( -1931), had no children, lived at Valley City.
TYLA M. (1863-1939), born at Randallsville, New York, married 1889, John E. Sutton (1861-1945), had one, William of Florida. Town of Sutton was named for John E. Sutton.
MARY ALICE (1867-1916), married John W. Wilse (1861- ), Daughter (1892-1932) only child.
FRANK JESSE (1877-1938), born at Jackson, Mich., married second. Marie Falla in 1906. Children: Burton E. (1913-1944), American Legion Marker; Milo S. (1897-1930), married Edna Wild (1900-1930); Mrs. Harriet Liscowski; Fred; Frank W.; Ira; Alger; Evelyn.
