Lovell - a siding - is in Cooperstown Township.
It was named for Mr. Alfred Lovell, in 1899, when the station was established and the siding built.
Mr. Alfred Lovell was at one time Superintendent of motive power for the Northern Pacific Railway.
The railroad officials picked the name.
