William "Bill' Hazlett was born November 30, 1861 in Newcastle,
Pennsylvania. He came to North Dakota and settled at Hope in 1882. He married
Nettie Louise McCoy on January 11, 1887. They later moved to Juanita where he
became postmaster in 1911, a post he held for many years.
Four children were born to the Hazletts: Howard, Frank, Charles,
and Grace.
