G. W. and Ada (King) Kallberg

G. W. Kallberg was born near Vex, Sweden, April 7, 1869. At the age of six he came to America with his parents, the Peter Kallbergs, who settled in Minnesota. In 1882, Mr. Kallberg came to North Dakota, where he worked on the railroad construction. On November 22, 1883, he married Ada King. Ada was the daughter of William King, who had a claim near Jamestown. Ada was born in New York State on August 6, 1866. The Kallbergs homesteaded on the Northwest 1/4 of Section 8 in Longview Township, where they lived until 1906, when they moved to Carrington.

Mr. Kallberg died in April 1942 and Mrs. Kallberg died in August 1947.
