Binford, North Dakota
is a grain buyer. He was born in Aamodt on December 28, 1879 and emigrated to America in 1881. His parents, Erik and Lisbeth Amundsen ,came to America 1881 to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. His father is dead and his mother lives on a farm in Griggs County, North Dakota.
His wife, Anne Koloen, is from northern Fron in Gudbrandsdalen. Her father Nils Koloen has a farm near Binford, North Dakota. They have five children. He is the Financial Secretary of the Sons of Norway regional society "Gjovik" and is also the police chief in Binford, North Dakota. He has been there it since 1889 when the town started.
