He has been to Norway four times. The last time was in 1913 and 1914 to visit his old mother, Marthe Stuelokken. She is 83 years, but of sound mind and has a beautiful little home. Each time Lars goes there suffering, he comes back at least ten years younger and very refreshed, both in "Body and Spirit". His Norwegian interests he has also had for many days with everything that he has done for years at Concordia College, St. Luke's Hospital and other institutions and undertakings, where Norwegians have been especially interested in song and music and he is a member of the "Norse" singing society in Moorhead, Minnesota.
