Carl Fraid

Hastings, North Dakota

is a farmer. He was born in Sweden, but married a Norwegian woman with the applicable name Gunhild, who was from Modum. Of course to begin he was a little lustful for “His Old Country”. But then his wife - a rigid straight, beloved Norwegian wife - said that “His Old Country” was a wilderness where he was from, so he took that and became only more Norwegian.
