Aneta, North Dakota
was born in Ottertail County Minnesota on July 18, 1871. His father, Mar Hyslien, and his mother, Birgit Bakkerud, were both from Gudbrandsdalen and were Pioneers in Ottertail County Minnesota. He received his education at the Normal School in Moorhead, Minnesota. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical Department in 1900. He practices as a doctor in Kindred, North Dakota for nine years and then moved to Tacoma, Washington in 1909. He came to Aneta in July 1916. His specialty is surgery.
His wife, Asta Wold, is the daughter of Pastor A. Wold in Aberdeen, Washington. They have two children, Constance and Thor.
