Halvor Knutson

McVille, North Dakota

is a farmer. He was born in Seljord on September 11, 1848 and emigrated to America in 1873 to Minneapolis, Minnesota and went from there to Dakota County, Minnesota near Farmington. In 1880 he came to Nelson County, North Dakota and took preemption in Nesheim Township and a homestead in Lee Township in 1882 and has lived there since as a farmer.

His wife, Mathea Andersen, is from Ringsaker. They have four daughters and three sons. Selmer has a homestead in Billings, Montana, Alfred and Oliver are on the farm. Anna is married to Endre Johnson, a farmer near Mcville, North Dakota. Marie is married to Ole Haugen, a farmer near McVille North Dakota. Mina is married to Ole Almaas of Aneta, North Dakota. Hilda is at home on the farm.
