Hans O. Lobben

Fargo, North Dakota

was born at Gaarden Lobben in Modum on March 17, 1844. He married Karoline A. Bergan from Modum in 1868. He and his family came to America in 1880 to Benson, Minnesota. They came to Fargo in 1881 and he operated a hotel business on Front Street for several years. For the last 25 years he has been with the Northern Pacific Railway.

They have eight children, seven daughters and 1 son. Jeanette is married to James J. Dyer and lives in Moorhead. Christine is married to Henry Zwick and lives in Burlingame, California. Louis is married to May Fuller, and lives in Rockford, Minnesota. Anna is married to Christian G. Dosland and lives in Moorhead. Marie is a teacher of dietetics at St. Luke's Hospital. She was a teacher in Domestic Science at Concordia College. Clara and Katie are teachers in Public School. Gertie is a music teacher.
