R. S. Lunde

Cooperstown, North Dakota

has the insurance and real estate business. He was born in Hoiland at Gaarden Lunde on February 17, 1870 and emigrated to America in 1881.

His father, Sven Lunde, and his mother, Justine Westley, came to Valley City, North Dakota and took a homestead in Griggs County. He is the owner of the farm at this time, but now lives on an adjacent farm. He has lived in Cooperstown for 21 years. He worked in real estate for John Øy first and then for the last 13 years has had his own business.

His wife, Kristine Wuflestad, is from Startvanger. She is the daughter of Sersjant Wuflestad. They have three children. He is the supervisor for the city Mission’s reading room, a very imitation-worthy institution for the others towns in the Northwest.
