M. K. Morken

Pekin, North Dakota

is a farmer. He was born in Lesjeskogen on February 3, 1881 and emigrated to America in 1884 to Lincoln County, South Dakota. He moved to Nelson County, North Dakota to Bue P. O. and took a homestead in Osego Township and has lived there since as a farmer.

His wife, Oline Rusten, was also from Gudbrandsdalen. They have eleven children, five sons and six daughters All of the sons are on the farm, Conrad, Alfred, Ole, Karl and Oscar. Two of their daughters are married. Hanna is married to Albert Enstad, who is a farmer. Clara married Pharmacist Otto, Hamburg, North Dakota.

Morken was in Norway in 1910 and one winter in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
