was born in Austin, Minnesota. She received her school education and high school education in Aberdeen, South Dakota. After that she was a teacher in country schools in both North and South Dakota. She took courses with the State Normal School, Moorhead. After fulfilling her courses in 1904, she stayed at the school for two years, took "Advanced Work" and assisted in the English Department. After that she came to Concordia College, as a teacher in grammar and accounting. The two last years she has been the leader of the "Normal Training Department".
