E. C. Olsgard

McVille, North Dakota

E. C. Olsgard is the treasurer of the State Bank in McVille. He was born in Houston County, Spring Grove, Minnesota, in, on September 11, 1871. He came to Nelson County in 1882. His father, Ole T. Olsgard, took a homestead there and lives on the homestead farm, where E. C. Olsfard and his six sisters grew up. He graduated from Red Wing Seminar in 1911 and from Minnesota University in 1894. He was the County superintendent in Nelson County for six years years starting in 1901. He has been the treasurer in the bank since 1906 when the town started. He is the president of the Commercial Club and School board and a capable and public spirited Man.
