O. J. Ovreboe

Aneta, North Dakota

was born in Lyster on September 22, 1869 and emigrated to America in 1891 to Blue Earth, Faribault County, Minnesota. He became ordained as a Priest in 1899 with the United Church at the annual meeting in St. Paul. His first calling was Summit, South Dakota. He moved to Wolverton, Minnesota in 1905 and came to Aneta in 1909. He has three Parishes.

His wife, Mina Mortensen, is the daughter of Paul Mortensen, who is a farmer near Harwood, North Dakota and is one of the oldest settlers there. They have nine children, five boys and two girls.
