Johan Ludvig Rindal

Fargo, North Dakota

was born in Øier in 1875. He was a judicial candidate from Kristiania University in 1906. He practiced as a lawyer for a time in Tretten. He came to America in 1914 to Hillsboro, North Dakota. He worked on a farm for one year. He was in Vesterheimen for a short time and was in Normanden for one year. He has written several good and worthy articles for publication from his trips. He became the editor of Forth in May 1916 and has edited the publication with much capability.

His wife, Petra G. Holtan, is from Lardal. They have three children, Johannes, Kaare and Eldrid. She is the manager of Øier Municipality and she shall come to America later.
