Thomas Rue

Kathryn, North Dakota

is a farmer. He was born in July 1862 in Dunn County Wisconsin. His father, Torstein Rue, was from Telemarken as was his mother Margit Udalen. They came over to America in the 1840's. He came to North Dakota in 1884 to his brother, Halvor Rue, who is a pioneer near Sandprairie. He took a homestead there and lives on the farm at this time.

His wife, Lina Reiten, is from Ă˜sterdalen. They have nine children. Two sons, Thommy and Peter, are on the farm. Their daughter Minnie is married to Simen Martinsen, who is a farmer in that area.
