Galesburg, North Dakota
is a farmer. He was born in Tungnes at Gaarden Rygh, a half mile from Stavanger. He was born on June 17, 1843 and emigrated to America in 1845 to Chicago, along with his parents Torjer and Torbjor Rygh. He came to Traill County, North Dakota in 1904 and now lives with his son, Gerhard Rygh, who is a farmer near Galesburg. They came over to America on a sailing ship and were three months at sea.
