John Skilbred

Pekin, North Dakota

was born in Sande on March 15, 1891 and came to America in 1911 to Scandinavia, Wisconsin. He then moved to Pekin, North Dakota. In the spring of 1915 and works on a farm near town. His father, Ole Skilbred, lives on his farm in Sande in Sondfjord. John is unmarried and thinks he will get a homestead and get himself a "better half".
