He came to North Dakota to Grand Forks County and took preemption in Loreta Township and a homestead in Rygh Township and has lived there since as a farmer. He was on a trip to Norway in 1900 and in 1914, took with Sigdalsfanen, received the in toldfrit and therefore received much praise.
