Mayville, North Dakota
was born in Gaarden Standahl in Hjorundfjord, on April 6, 1872 and emigrated to America in 1881 and landed in Halifax. He came to Chicago, Illinois, and later to Minot, North Dakota. He has now lived in Mayville in 20 for years, and has been a policeman for six years and a Post Office driver for seven years.
His wife, Minnie Johnson, was born in Dalsland, Sweden. They have four children.
