Thomas Stee

Dazey, North Dakota

is a farmer. He was born in Rock Prairie, Wisconsin on March 4, 1859. His father, Ole Knudsen Stee, and his mother, Ragnhild Quissil, were from Vestre Slide and emigrated to America around 1850. Ole was one of the pioneers in Barness County. Thomas and his brother Knut came with their father to Barness County, near Dazey, North Dakota in 1880. He died in 1883. His mother and his brother Knut are also dead. They have been living as settlers troublesome honorably.

His wife, Gurine Elstad, is from Eidsvold. They have five children. Rubin graduated from North Dakota University and is now an electrical engineer in Canada. Clarence also graduated from North Dakota University and he is a mining engineer in Peru. May is married to attorney John Sad in Hannaford, North Dakota. Ernst is a farmer. Ainez is also home. He has had several positions of trust in the town. He is a pioneer and takes part in cooperative undertakings.
