Anders A. Brekke - Finley, ND
Anders A. Brekke is a farmer, born in Fitjar, Feb. 18, 1846 and came to America inin 1873 to Allamakee Co, moved to Winnishiek Co, Iowa, and from there to Cresco Co Iowa, lived there 3 1/2 years as a worker on the railroad, moved to Yellow Medicine Co, Minn, bought land at Clark Field, Minn, was there 3 1/2 years, then came to Steele Co., N. Dak in 1882. He took a homestead in Franklin Township and lived as a farmer in the district until in 1906 he sold his farm to his two sons, Albert and Malius, who live upon the old homestead farm.
His wife, Andrine Storebø, is from Østervold. They have 8 living children. Four daughters are married to farmers of the district.
