A.E.F. Captain Picks His Bride From Cooperstown

Miss Lilliann Blackwell Weds William H. Dial -  Settings for the Wedding Are Exeptionally Attractive - Couple Will Live in Akron, Ohio

Jonquils, ferns and pink roses, simply arranged thru-out the rooms in home of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Blackwell, parents of the bride, formed very pretty setting for the wedding of Miss Lillian Jane Blackwell and Mr. William H. Dial, which was solemnized at noon on Wednesday, February eighteenth. An improvised altar had been arranged in the reception hall, and before this the bridal party stood while Reverend Mr. Bennett read the double ring marriage service.

Miss Esther Glasoe vey sweetly sang “Beauteous Night” and then, as she played the Mendelssohn Wedding March, Miss Lillian, attended by her sister, Miss Ruth, descended the stairs and was met by Mr. Dial and his attendant, Hollis Blackwell, brother of the bride. The bride wore a lovely gown of white organdie and lace and other bouquet was a shower of pink roses and freesia. Miss Ruth, attired in a gown of maize chiffon, carried a cluster of bouquet of daffodils and fern.

After the wedding service, a four-course luncheon was served. The table was daintily decorated with sprays of smilax, yellow candles and a center of jonquils with a Kewpie bride and groom therein ensconced. Unique and very pretty little place cards, painted by Miss Ruth, were used. During the luncheon Victrola music was played and Miss Glasoe sang several songs.

Of unusual sincerity and warmth are the congratulations and good wishes which friends within and without this community shower upon Mr. and Mrs. Dial, who left on the evening train for visits in Minneapolis and Chicago.
